We recently adopted an almost 5 year old Frenchie who got excited, noisy and pulled on the lead when he came across other dogs during our walks. He was very interested in everything going on around him and it was difficult to get him to focus on our walks. Milan was recommended by our rescue and whilst we weren’t sure if online training would work for us, it’s been brilliant. We’ve just finished our first month with Milan (signed up for an second) and our Frenchie has made huge progress. He’s able to stay beside us during walks and we’re no longer worried about seeing other dogs on our street walks. Our distraction techniques are working really well. Milan encouraged us to be patient in exposing him to triggers and it’s paying dividends. Milan is also providing great training on managing him around the house, he’s much less interested in whose passing by outside and knows when to leave our elderly Frenchie alone. The great thing about online training is the flexibility. Milan is in touch daily, is really clear about his expectations on us too which has been really important ensuring we are spending the right amount of time daily on training (it’s not a lot). We also needed a weeks break during the training (and will need this again during our second month) and Milan has been so flexible with this!

I have recently completed a 30 day training package with the team at Smart Dogs Training and it was great. We mainly worked on leash walking, recall and greeting guests appropriately.Milan and Konner were both friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about getting the best results for both owner and dog.They were always on hand to give advice and tips as my dog progressed through her training. The mixed methods work well for busy lifestyles meaning I was able to fit it in amongst my other commitments, with WhatsApp support, zoom calls and in person sessions.My dog Peggy quickly picked up the training as it was broken down into small steps and built upon day by day. We came to smart dogs with our 1 year old Spaniel, having done training in the past, we only had a couple of issues to iron out. We focused on lead walking, recall and settling on a night.Having worked with Smart dogs, we’ve noticed an amazing improvement in all areas. We took our cavapoo puppy Hugo along for some one to one training with Konner and we were over the moon with the results. Hugo came on leaps and bounds and Konner helped us to realise what a smart little dog he was.My husband and I both really enjoyed our training sessions and we learnt such a lot about Hugo and how to get the best out of him. We initially signed up for a board and stay, but switched to a day train when it became clear that our nervous German Shepherds would do better with it. This worked out far better in the end. Our puppies are very reactive, and although they do well in many areas, they bark at every dog they see and throw in the occasional person just to keep us on our toes. Once we got them back, we noticed a marked improvement, and although we still have work, Milan has given us the tools to do this within the 30-day WhatsApp meetings. I went from being so worried that I would never be able to get my pup to improve to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks again, Milan.

Milan has been great.Have been trouble with my 4 year old frenchie’s anxiety due to other dogs and ‘weird’ things out and about.We started doing the online training help for 30 days - daily.He then happened to come to London a few months later and we did an hour session face to face with some check ins - still in the process of.The 121 session was incredible. Honestly so so amazing and if Milan lived closer I would do more 121s. He made it look so easy 🫣😫!My Frenchie is getting better but probably a bit of a while until she isn’t bothered by things anymore.Milan is always good at reassuring me when I feel stressed, he is always direct but polite and makes me feel that there’s hope when I am ready to give up.Thanks Milan. Milan and Konner provided one month of training and support for our one year old boxer dog, Harley. Over this time we had daily support on WhatsApp with Milan and Konner sending personalised training videos and voice messages and also answering any questions. I would send videos and then receive tips back on how to further improve things and what to keep working on. There were also three one to one sessions which were really helpful. Konner took the lead with Harley’s training and led the sessions. He was very knowledgable and provided continual support to through WhatsApp. Overall Harley has definitely improved. We focused on loose lead walking and getting Harley to improve his wait/stay commands. He is definitely more engaged now. The training techniques need a lot of effort, practice and consistency every day, but they do work and there is good support to help along the way. Thanks for all the help!

Absolute legends. From the first call with Milan, to the final training session (and beyond) with Konner, these guys have been exceptional. The four week intensive course with daily WhatsApp support has been great, not only did the guys give us daily feedback, it forced us to be on our game and work with our dog to implement the training every single day.Konner was super flexible, working around our busy work schedules (and the unpredictability of the weather) and the progress we saw in the first two weeks was more than we saw in the previous 12 months. We still have more work to do, but with the tips that the guys provided we are confident we can get her there.We'll be back again in the future for more help I'm sure. Can't recommend these guys and there positive reinforcement training enough.

Milan has been INSTRUMENTAL to our success with Hazel (our rescue greyhound). The usual training tips etc just weren’t really working for us, so we reached out for more expert help. Milan got us dialling in the exact drill and patterns we needed to start helping Hazel acclimate to life outside the track.We are still working with him as Hazel is a particularly sensitive make and model lol. But we’ve so far achieved:Calm and attentive lead walkingWait, Stay, and returnSound desensitisation (still working but hugely improved)Calm, happy and settled in general.We are now working on dog meeting and (her nemesis) children running about and playing.Plus I also wanted to say that as Hazel has been with us her behaviour has fluctuated during her first 5 months (totally normal for a rescue) as she’s adjusted, and Milan has been the perfect support during this. Reassuring us and adjusting his teachings to suit where Hazel (and ourselves!) have been at.In closing, I would highly recommend Milan for your dog and situation. For me there’s no more proof than watching how well Hazel behaves with him (she’s dead nervous normally). He’s kind, balanced and knows what to do and when to do it.Cheers Milan.

Milan has an incredible amount of knowledge and clearly understands the psychology of dogs better than anybody else we have spoken to. His approach is direct and clear, which made training Reggie our anxious miniature Dachshund simple, and made him much more confident and relaxed. We are the very happy owners of Crispin. As lovely as Crispin is, he is reactive and prone to barking at other dogs and can strain on the lead to get them. Not knowing anything about Crispin’s background, his behaviour left us struggling with how to best manage him.Enter Milan and Konner. Throughout our training journey, Milan has been excellent at breaking down training concepts and getting us to fully understand how and why we are training different behaviours. He has been incredibly patient and knows the solution to every issue we have come across with our dog Bonnie - you're a dog genius! We reached out to Milan after struggling with our Daschund after the arrival of our daughter - he was excellent on the initial call and made us very confident in signing up for the training programme.The WhatsApp messaging can’t be underestimated - I sent videos every morning and evening and Milan never missed responding each day over the 4 weeks with feedback on our training.The 1-2-1 sessions were then perfect in tweaking what I had tried to implement and take the training to the next level.Our Daschund is now able to sit calmly in the same room every day with our daughter and able to walk without pulling on the leash. Both of have them have great knowledge and understanding of canine behaviour & how to use positive methods to get the results you want. The improvement in Axel’s loose lead walking & general behaviour in 30 days has been huge! We had our 1-2-1 sessions with Konner, who was very reassuring when I felt a bit uneasy about getting closer to Milo & Koda as Axel used to struggle with reactivity, but taking it slow and steady, and with a bit of push for myself, Axel was disengaging and ignoring Milo.The WhatsApp support has been great, Milan teaches you on how to tweak your behaviour to get the best results, and if something isn’t working, he will give you a different solution to the problem!

Blown away by the changes in our dog in just 4 weeks. She has gone from being extremely nervous - reacting to dogs and humans by rushing up to them and barking - to remaining calm and barely giving them a glance.You can see she has so much more confidence now and it’s made her more willing to come to us to be petted, have cuddles and engage in play.As a rescue and over 4 years old we thought it would be too late to chance that embedded behaviour but the support (I needed as much training as she did!) was never ending, and I wasn’t made to feel like a bad owner which I was really grateful for.Can’t recommend this trainer highly enough.

Came to see Milan after our dog Chester bit a family member. Chester is 7 so this behaviour was out of the blue and alien to us. I have 2 small children so their safety was paramount to us, and we were faced with the reality that we may have to rehome Chester for the safety of our family. I was absolutely devastated but after speaking with Milan and numerous vet appointments we decided to carry out training with Milan as a last ditch attempt before we considered options to rehome. After the first face to face session with Milan, we finally felt like we were able to communicate with Chester on a different level. Milan contacted us every day with recommendations of what to do differently based on training videos we had sent him and what to do next and check to see how things were going. We had constant support. Everyone 1:1 we made huge progress and learnt more about chesters behaviour and how to better manage his environment. We had our final 1:1 with Milan in our home as this is where we found his behaviour at its worst. Milan gave us instruction and within minutes Chester was doing what we wanted him to do without being told. Milan was preempting his behaviour before we even started I didn't understand how he knew. But Milan has such vast experience he's seen this behaviour in hundreds of dogs so I knew we were in safe hands and felt confident that we were given the right tools and techniques to be able to manage Chester moving forward given the right environment. We've finished our training with Milan and although not perfect we've seen a huge difference in Chester. We still have work to put in but Milan had given us everything we need to make those changes. He doesn't Bark as much so the neighbours are happier, we're controlling his environment so he doesn't get up to mischief and he's listening to what we want him to do. We're more confident having visitors over without the fear of him humping and getting excited. Again still room for improvement but we've got the right techniques in place to manage Chester in difficult situations. We can't thank Milan enough for finally being able to enjoy Chester and allow us to keep him in our family without fear of him biting. Cannot recommend Milan enough if you're looking for a dog trainer that genuinely just communicates with the dog rather than using fear and punishment to manipulate a situation than Milan is the trainer you need to speak to.

I worked with Milan to build my (very nervous) rescue chihuahua’s confidence in and out of the house, improve his engagement during walks, and teach him commands. Milan is enthusiastic, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. His practice is grounded in consistency and positive reinforcement but he is able to recognise and adapt to different dogs’ needs. Throughout our 30 day course (online and in-person), he offered clear steps and detailed feedback, both of which have been invaluable. We took our 6 month old Cockerpoo to the puppy class with Milan and we’re impressed by his enthusiasm and instant connection to the puppies on the course. We then continued with the 4 week online course, which included a visit to our house to work on the areas of behaviour which we needed supported with at home. We sent videos of using the techniques which Milan suggested and he was always quick to respond with both positive comments as appropriate and reminders of the correct order of the techniques and being consistent in letting our dog know what we expected him to do - he does train owners. At the end of the 4 weeks he returned and gave us feedback and also gave us pointers for a couple of new areas which we needed help with. We’re thrilled with our sessions so far! Our lab puppy is super smart, but we were having a tough time with his loose lead walking, recall, and being overly friendly towards other dogs and people. We contacted Milan for help with our highly reactive French Bulldog. We've made amazing progress in 30 days through a combination of in-person training, zoom calls and daily WhatsApp updates. Milan was really knowledgeable and taught some great positive reinforcement techniques to improve Henry's behaviour. By the end of the program, Henry was much calmer and responsive to commands and we feel much more confident when walking him. My husband and I are so pleased we found Milan, he is an absolutely brilliant dog trainer. We rescued our Belgian Malinois, Ivy, when she was 8 months old and even though we’d had dogs all our lives we knew we needed help with Ivy. We are currently receiving training from Milan for our cocker spaniel Willow around being reactive to visitors at home as well as lead walking. Milan is super knowledgeable and has great attention to detail, he responds daily and requests specific videos in which he will then feedback in detail. We are not even finished training yet and we have managed to get Willow to remain neutral to visitors and her lead walking is improving daily. What training methods do you use?

We use only positive, force-free training methods focused on reward, kindness, and building trust. No choke, prong, or shock collars are used.

Where will my dog stay during day training?

Your dog will stay in a safe, calm, and supervised environment with us during the day, Monday to Friday, and will return home each evening to rest.

What should I bring for my dog?

Please bring your dog’s regular walking equipment (collar or harness and standard leash). You can also bring your dog’s bed, favorite toys, or a teddy for extra comfort if you like.

How long does the day training last?

The usual programme lasts 2 weeks, Monday to Friday, with an initial handover session at the end and 30 days of support after training to help maintain progress.

What happens during the handover session?

We spend one hour with you to explain what we've worked on, demonstrate training techniques, and provide advice so you can confidently continue with your dog.

How does the 30 days of support work?

After the training period, you get direct access to your trainer via WhatsApp for daily guidance, feedback, and answers to any questions to ensure ongoing success.

Will my dog be socialised with other dogs?

Yes, where appropriate, your dog will have supervised socialisation opportunities to build positive interactions with other dogs.

What if my dog is anxious or reactive?

Our training environment is tailored to meet the needs of all dogs, including anxious or reactive ones, with plenty of positive reinforcement and careful management.
